“Friends” Contest

Contest Rules

These rules set out the conditions of participation of the “Friends” contest by Nothing Else Records, published in an accessible, clear and unambiguous form in accordance with Article 20 of the Spanish Information Society Services Act (Ley 34/2002, LSSI-CE).

1. Organizer

The organizer of the contest is Ali Benmoussa El Omari, a natural person, with Spanish tax identification number (NIF) 49538918T and address in Vallfogona de Balaguer (Lleida), Spain, operating under the artist name Åli and the brand Nothing Else Records (“NER”). Contact: [email protected].

The organizer is Ali Benmoussa El Omari as the legal and tax subject — he signs these rules and would assume any tax obligations if applicable. “Åli” and “NER” are an artist name and a brand, with no separate legal personality.

2. Purpose and nature

“Friends” is a merit-based contest consisting of solving skill riddles tied to NER’s music releases. No element of chance is involved in obtaining the prize: the prize is obtained by correctly solving the riddle, not by a draw. Participation is free of charge and requires no purchase or payment of any kind, nor any premium-rate charge. By its nature (skill and gratuity), the contest does not constitute gambling or a random prize combination as regulated by Spanish Law 13/2011 on gambling.

3. Participation requirements

Any natural person may participate who:

  • Is 16 years of age or older (threshold adopted for the entire EU; see the privacy policy). Verification is by the participant’s own declaration (checkbox). Persons under 16 may not participate; if a participation below the threshold is detected, the data will be deleted (see the privacy policy).
  • Provides a valid email address and confirms that address through the verification link they will receive (double opt-in).
  • Accepts these rules and the contest’s privacy policy.

Your name is optional (used only to personalize communication). The commercial communications (marketing) checkbox is separate, optional and not pre-ticked: you can participate and receive the prize without accepting it.

Territorial scope. The contest has worldwide scope. Anyone participating from outside Spain does so under their own responsibility to comply with local law, and retains the protection of the applicable mandatory rules of their country of habitual residence; participation is not permitted where local law prohibits it.

4. How it works

  1. The participant accesses the published riddle and attempts it (it can be attempted without providing any data).
  2. If they solve it, in order to claim the prize they provide their email (and, optionally, their name), declare the minimum age and give their consent; they receive a confirmation email (double opt-in).
  3. After confirming, they receive the prize (see clause 6) through a private link.
  4. The participant’s progress is kept in their own inbox (the links received); the system stores the minimum needed to manage delivery and avoid duplicates.

5. Award — by merit, without chance

  • The prize is awarded automatically to whoever correctly solves the riddle (it is not “one among those who solve it”: everyone who solves it is entitled to the prize of the corresponding riddle).
  • If in any case a tie-break or ordering were necessary, it will be done by an objective, non-random criterion (for example, chronological order of solving), never by a draw.

6. Prize and protection of the prize obligation

6.1 Prize. The prize is an exclusive, one-time listen of NER’s next track, ahead of its release. It materializes through a private key/link sent by email upon winning, which the organizer activates at the moment of their choosing (within the period of clause 6.3). The listen takes place via streaming, with no download. For security, the key/link may have a technical expiry; if it expires before delivery is completed under clause 6.3, it is reissued at no cost upon request at [email protected]. It is promotional audio, not a product for sale, of nominal/symbolic market value.

6.2 Declared dependency (transparency upfront). The participant acknowledges and accepts that the preview corresponds to a future track whose production and publication on the platforms (DSPs) depend on third parties (studios, distribution, the platforms’ editorial calendars) and on production itself, so it has no committed date at the moment it is won. This dependency is declared from the outset (it is not a supervening condition).

6.3 Fixed deadline and automatic delivery of an alternative. The prize will be delivered when the next track is published or becomes available on the DSPs and, at the latest, within 6 months from the moment the participant earns the right to the prize (the day they confirm their participation through the double opt-in). If that period expires without the track having been published, the participant will automatically receive, without needing to claim it, an alternative prize of equivalent or higher value (for example, other exclusive NER content of a similar nature). This way the participant always knows the time ceiling and always receives the promised value.

6.4 Substitution by equivalent. The organizer may substitute the prize with another of equal or higher value or nature if causes beyond their control make it necessary. Never with one of lower value.

6.5 Force majeure / causes beyond control. The organizer is not liable for delays or impossibilities arising from force majeure or causes beyond their control (Article 1105 of the Spanish Civil Code). This exemption does not extend to the organizer’s own breach or negligence.

6.6 Personal and non-transferable. The prize is personal to the participant who wins it; it cannot be exchanged for money unless the organizer so decides.

7. Term

  • Participation: the participation period opens on 8 August 2026 at 00:00 (Spanish peninsular time) and remains open until further notice from the organizer, which will be communicated in advance. Throughout that period, every person who solves the riddle and complies with these rules obtains the prize (clause 5), with no cap or limit on winners.
  • Delivery of a prize already won: subject to the fixed deadline and automatic alternative of clause 6.3 (a separate axis from the participation term).

7.bis Advance publication and entry into force. These rules were first published on 16 July 2026; this version 2 is published on 5 August 2026, ahead of the opening, for prior consultation, transparency and accessibility (Article 20 LSSI-CE). Their advance publication does not open the contest. The “Friends” contest and the possibility of validly participating enter into force on 8 August 2026 at 00:00 (Spanish peninsular time). Any interaction with the riddle before that moment is merely informative, does not constitute participation and creates no right to a prize. From that moment, participation is governed by these rules in accordance with the preceding clauses (in particular clauses 3, 4 and 6).

8. Modification, suspension or cancellation

The organizer may modify, suspend or cancel the contest only for valid and specified causes — force majeure, technical or legal impossibility, rights over the sound recording, editorial calendar, fraud or abuse — communicating it to the participants in advance. The organizer does not reserve a right of modification “at their discretion” or “whenever they see fit” without cause. Rights already acquired by participants (prizes already won) are respected in accordance with clause 6.

9. Taxation

The prize is a promotional preview of nominal/symbolic value (well below €300). As a prize in kind, the applicable tax figure would be the payment on account (Spanish ingreso a cuenta); the organizer understands that no payment on account is due because the taxable base is equal to or below €300 (Article 75.3.f of the Spanish Personal Income Tax Regulation). The absence of a payment on account does not mean the prize is tax-exempt for the winner: the prize, where applicable, constitutes a capital gain to be included in their personal income tax (Article 33 of the Spanish Personal Income Tax Act). Each participant is responsible for any tax obligations that may apply to them.

10. Data protection

The processing of participants’ data is governed by the contest’s Privacy Policy, which the participant accepts. Controller: Ali Benmoussa El Omari. Minimal data (email; first and last name optional; communication language, Spanish or English; age confirmation, consent and progress), double opt-in, and GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection). Unsubscribe and erasure: every news email includes its own unsubscribe link; the prize email also includes a data erasure link; any right may also be exercised by writing to [email protected]. Data stored in the EU; compute through Cloudflare (covered international transfer — see the privacy policy).

11. Complaints

Questions and complaints may be addressed to [email protected].

12. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These rules are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts and tribunals with jurisdiction under the applicable consumer regulations.

13. Acceptance

Participation in the contest implies full acceptance of these rules and of the privacy policy. Not knowing the rules does not exempt from compliance with them. These rules are published in Spanish and English; in the event of any divergence between the two versions, the Spanish version prevails.

Updates

These rules may be updated in accordance with clause 8. The date below indicates the last revision.

Last updated: 5 August 2026 (version 2: opening on 8 August 2026, worldwide territorial scope, prize clarifications —streaming, key expiry and reissue—, unsubscribe and erasure, and language prevalence).
